A Life More Ordinary

Lesson Learned

Posted by: louesejackson on: February 2, 2012

After 20 years of driving I achieved the unthinkable: I ran out of petrol. So, you do the only thing you can do when you live in the countryside and are too proud to ask anyone you know for help.

What can I say? Of course I put it off. Petrol is expensive. (That’s per litre, folks)

Gas is the same price here just about. Well, minus the conversion. I have not yet (knock on wood) ran out of gas.

I have noticed that (minus Quebec milk and dairy) it’s pretty much the same price, minus the conversion. I prefer not to think about the converted price and live contently ignorant, trying not to think about it ;) I wouldn’t recommend running out of gas, ever. It kind of sucked, but the bike ride was nice and I treated myself to a coca cola.
